It’s true that the Internet is the great opportunity equalizer. It’s also true that affiliate marketing is an equal opportunity employer. No matter whether you’re a man or a woman, old or young, able or disabled, rich or poor, you can become employed as an affiliate marketer.

With a lot of desire, a reasonable time commitment and just a few dollars you can become an affiliate marketer; sell merchant’s products and earn a commission (percentage of the sale’s price) for each sale you make.

In the first part of “The Part Time Affiliate Marketer’s Steps to Success” series, you learned how to get a domain name. In part two you learned how to get hosting. Now you’ll learn how to build your online home.

You Need a Website

Don’t Panic! You (like millions of other people) might think that building a website is beyond your capabilities. You’re wrong. You CAN build a website. It’s a lot easier than you think.

Back in the early days of the Internet, only gurus who knew how to write HTML code were capable of building a website. Today, it’s so easy to build a website a “caveman could do it.” You don’t need to know the first thing about HTML.

You can, of course, hire a coder to build your website for you. There are several sites on the Internet where you can post your requirements and get bids from freelancers. Two such sites are:

But you really don’t need to hire anybody. You have two options for building your own website.

1. You can use the FREE Site Builder tool that Affiliate Classroom 2 provides. This is an extremely simple to use WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) site building tool. Step-by-step directions are provided.

2. You can install the FREE WordPress Blog program offered by your hosting service provider. Every hosting service that I’m familiar with offers a free WordPress program. Installing a WordPress Blog is a simple 1,2,3 push-button process. Instructions are provided.
