RevenueScience reports on a study that shows a 55.6% drop in people who frequntly deleted their computer’s cookies.
“Bolstering these findings were strong indications that cookie deletion is on a significant downward trend. When asked how often they delete cookies form their hard drives, only 8 percent answered very frequently compared to 18 percent in a 2004 survey; while 24 percent indicated they never delete cookiesmore than double the 11 percent from the previous survey.”

And more than DOUBLE the people (from 2004) said that they NEVER delete their cookies…

Hi,
maybe it is as good as it sounds. Firefox i.e. comes with an option to delete all cookies on closing the program automaticly – the user does not have to do anything.

I actuall think this is because there are so many people now using anti-spy software, ect. which actually does this task for them automatically. Doing manuel cookie deletion is a thing of the past

Usage of security software to delete third party cookies have very bad consequences for affiliate marketers. Very often spyware/adware removal tools mark legitimate cookies as potentially dangerous thus causing affiliate marketers and affiliate networks to loose hard earned money. Security software producers should take a more professional approach to third party cookies.
