Facebook is a huge market. More than 400 million people and businesses have accounts. It’s quickly become the online marketplace to promote yourself and your company.
You can draw attention to your website and existing online presence with a Facebook profile. You can link to articles you’ve written in your updates, connect with new friends and fans, and expand your audience.
Facebook pages also appear on search engine results pages, which means it’s one more page that can help you get a higher place on the search engine results page.
Blogs are also a great traffic generator and SEO asset. So when combined with Facebook, it doubles your exposure.
Bringing your blog to Facebook doesn’t mean re-writing anything, it just takes a few simple steps.
Step 1
First, log into Facebook. Once you’re on your profile page, click on the Account tab, and scroll down and click on Applications Settings.
Now you’ll be on a page that shows what applications you regularly use, and what applications are available. Find the Notes application and click on it.
Step 2
On the Notes page, you’ll see any Notes that your friends or fans have posted, or a Welcome to Notes message under My Notes. If you’re looking at My Friend’s Notes, click on the My Notes link, to get the the My Notes page. Once you’re on this page, you’ll see a “Notes Settings” box on the right, where you will find a hyperlink to import a blog. Go ahead and click on the link.
Step 3
You’ll be on the Import a Blog screen now, which will instruct you to enter your blog’s URL in the web URL box. This has to be your blog, and no one else’s, or you face penalties and your account being disable.
Once you’ve cut and pasted your URL into the box, click on the “Start Importing” button, and you’re set!
Now, anytime you update your blog, your Facebook will show the update. And anytime you have an update on your Facebook Profile, it shows up in your personal news feed, and the feeds of your fans.
It’s a great way to publicize your blog and your business!

Hi Ruthy,
The as long as the URL is to your blog, and is a working URL, it should be fine if it’s been shortened. You can use Lurn’s Little Tracked Link to shorten URLs, you can find the tool on the Affiliate Classroom Tools page.
Thanks!
Thanks for this info. Its good. And its easy. And that’s great coz when I get a blog I’ll be able to link it straight away.
I’d always thought there had to be a way . . . .
Thanks again
