Quick Cash Tip #1 – Paying Attention Can Pay Off!
Posted by Kathy Jackson in Affiliate Marketing, Cost Saving, Keyword Generation Friday, 18 April 2008 09:43 3 Comments

If you are too poor to pay anything much more than attention, you can still make money in Internet marketing
!
Most people think that the very best keywords are the most expensive keywords, but that isn’t necessarily true all the time. It IS true that some keywords are always good, and those keywords will be more competitive and therefore more expensive. But then there are those keywords that suddenly become — hot!
When a new product is launched, for example, a brand new keyword can be born that has absolutely no demand and is therefore cheap…really cheap. Which means that if you’re keeping your eyes open and stay ahead of the trends, you can be the first to bid on those keywords at bargain prices.
How can a keyword suddenly become hot?
When a celebrity does something that the keyword is associated with. Example: A recent Oprah interview sent the keyphrase “pregnant man” into #165 in the worldwide keyword searches. Six months ago that keyphrase wasn’t even on the radar.
When a new toy, gadget, game, or fashion item hits the market but hasn’t gotten “hot” yet. Example: “Webkinz” wasn’t always in the top 20 search terms, but now it is – and will probably stay there for quite some time.
When a major event hits the news – such as when the airlines canceling hundreds of flights for plane maintenance. “Flight departures” became the #10 searched term overnight.
So pay attention to what is happening in the world around you – you may just discover keywords that can be had for pennies, yet will make you a lot of dollars quickly.
I’m Stalking Your Adwords Account Right Now…
Posted by Anik Singal in Affiliate Marketing, Keyword Generation, Tracking Thursday, 24 May 2007 12:35 3 Comments
That’s right. You think you’re so slick in the affiliate programs you find, the keywords you use, the ads you test - not for long buddy!
Now, I have the ability to stalk your campaigns. As a matter of fact, the software is running as we speak – I MAY be researching one of your niches and finding everything out about it! Things like…
1. What affiliate program(s) you promote.
2. How long you run your ads.
3. What time/day you shut your ads off.
4. What keywords you advertise on.
5. What ads you use (all your split testing).
6. Which of your ads Google favors.
I’m not even done yet!
Ok, so before you start freaking out, no, I don’t have an “out” for you – I’m just using this post as an example of what I “could” be doing using this new Google Adwords Software I’ve been testing lately.
I’ve had this in my hands for about 3 weeks now and I am absolutely completely blown away. To be honest, this may be THE most shocking software I’ve ever seen in my entire life (no I’m not just hyping it up).
Lately, everyone has been all “goo goo ga ga” over Chris Carpenter’s new “Google Cash” report you can download for free. Click here to download…
I won’t lie – it’s a good report. But, personally, after logging in, I want you to watch the VIDEOS that show you how this software work. Actually, since you probably think I AM HYPING things up – well, I challenge you to go watch the videos THEN come tell me!
Click here to sign-up, once you log-in, you’ll see an area for the videos… />
I’ve already started finding new affiliate programs, writing better ads and really getting to know my competition.
The BEST part though is that I can –test– a niche now without blowing a bunch of PPC cash, all I have to do is plug some keywords into this tool, watch it for a week or two and I’ll immediately know WHICH ads are making money or coming in, testing and stopping.
Is it time all you PPC affiliates started looking over your backs?
Wordtracker – It Just Doesn’t Get Any Better!

I logged into my Wordtracker account the other day and found a nice surprise.
Previously, there were five different ways to search: Simple, Exact/Precise, Compressed, Comprehensive and Misspelling. While I like being given options, I need to know which one to use to get results!
Now, the five of them still exist, but there’s a new tool, too. It’s called “Keyword Researcher.” It makes searching multiple keywords much easier and, depending on its popularity, may someday replace the three different searches.
I was surprised when I used it. The ability to add multiple keywords and get the same results as inputting them separately saves a LOT of time. Before, I had to do separate searches on my keyword, then on keyword phrases, etc.
While there were new words presented each time, a lot of them were redundant. When doing searches for words within a particular niche, I would just see the same words over and over again. Using the tool makes makes it much simpler. In fact, the whole process with Wordtracker is really simple.
I use it when I build web pages, as well as when I make blog posts. If you want to be at the top of the organic search results, it pays to know which words to concentrate on when your writing – otherwise, you’re just writing, and there may not be anyone reading. I can now quickly find the words I need to concentrate on, and input them immediately into what I’m doing.
With Wordtracker, I originally got off to a quick start on my research without having to go through a big tutorial. (Although, they do have one, if you want to get extra hints on searching properly.)
If you’re not using it as a tool to help you find the words that will get you at the top of the search results, you may be missing out on a lot of business. There is a free trial if you want to take a limited look, or you can test it with full access for a day for less than 8 bucks!
You can do a lot of research in a day I bet.
Five Reasons To See A Movie (Trailer) Today
Posted by Jeffrey Perren, AC Magazine in Affiliate Classroom Magazine, Affiliate Marketing, Keyword Generation Sunday, 4 June 2006 16:50 1 Comment
Normally I wouldn’t blog about a site that shows movie previews. There are several reasons today is an exception.
First, it’s Sunday and not much is being reported today that would interest affiliate marketers. So, maybe it’s a good day just to relax and watch a few trailers of current and upcoming films.
Second, just as important, the site is from Google. That doesn’t automatically make it great – nobody gets a free A from this classroom. But, as they often do, Google has put together a site that works well and could be great.
The page is laid out with current releases at the top, upcoming films further below. Graphics are appropriately sized and the text is minimal, which is all it needs to be. (Designers, take note.)
Third, since it’s Google and the site is well done it will almost certainly attract considerable traffic before long. That means once (or if) they choose to monetize it, you could well see contextual ads appearing there.
There’s plenty of available screen space on the page to place unobtrusive ads, both on the main page and the page that shows when a particular trailer is selected. That isn’t likely to be long in coming.
I have a very modest speed Internet connection – satellite, neither as slow as dial-up nor anywhere near as fast as DSL or cable – yet trailers load in adequate time and play perfectly. (The same can’t be said for a half-dozen other sites, which will go nameless.) Also, I use Firefox and many sites have trouble showing movies online in that browser. This worked without a hiccup.
Fourth, the growth of local search related advertising makes a seamless fit with films. Whether renting a DVD or going to the theater, most do that locally the majority of the time.
Fifth, with online video becoming ever more popular, and film previews near the top of that list, this could well be an excellent way to advertise all sorts of related products and services. Which is to say: anything and everything, since films cover every aspect of human existence.
PPC advertisers may soon be bidding on keywords like Superman, Carribean Pirates, and a whole lot more.

Jennifer Slegg’s recent SearchEngineWatch column on behavioral targeting – what it is, the pros and cons, the likely future – is so good I’m just going to refer you straight to it and stay out of the way.
