This is the fourth of our five-part “Building Your Affiliate Marketing Opt-In List” If you missed them, you can read part one here, read part two here and read part three here.
As an affiliate marketer, you know that making a sale is what makes money for you. Your opt-in list is a list of the people who are most apt to buy whatever it is that you’re selling. If they’ve already signed up for an eBook or a newsletter (your opt-in incentive) about your topic, then they are certainly interested in the products and services related to your niche.
You’ve learned how to choose an autoresponder service and you’ve learned what you need to offer as an incentive. You’ve also learned three tactics that will drive people to your opt-in form.
Driving people to your website and thus to your opt-in box is dependent on Google and other search engines displaying your website address in search results when a user types keywords that describe what she’s looking for into the search engine search box.
Three More Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Opt-In Form!
Yesterday you learned about finding keywords and using them to optimize your web pages, how good content drives traffic and why links to high ranking websites better your own PageRank. Here are three more ways to drive traffic to your opt-in form:
Traffic Driving Tactic #4: Post Comments to Related Forums and Blogs! You need to find 3 or 4 blogs and forums in your niche that where you can post comments above your sig tag. (A sig tag is your name and a link to your website.) There are two reasons:
1. The search engines count your sig tag as a link to your site.
2. Related blogs and forums are where your best prospective customers hang out on the Internet.
Traffic Driving Tactic #5: Join Social Sites like Twitter and FaceBook! Social sites provide a way for you to interact with your potential customers. But you need to build relationships and network. Don’t just concentrate on building your list and selling products.
Traffic Driving Tactic #6: Post Videos on YouTube! Video is big! You can post videos about the products you’re selling and there’s always a possibility that a YouTube video will go viral. Be sure to include links to your blog and your website in your videos.

Once you build your opt-in list you need to know how to treat the members of that list. In the final installment of the five part Building Your Affiliate Marketing Opt-In List series you’ll learn how to keep your opt-INS from opting OUT.
