There are bound to be countless new faces at any live event that you attend. But these initially unknown people are actually your best ticket to opening new doors and encountering new ideas in affiliate marketing – ideas that you might never have considered before.
Speaking from experience, meeting new people at live events can be a bit daunting. But if you are used to spending most of your time behind a desk, the benefits of getting “up and at ‘em” to network with other affiliates at live events are countless!
For starters, at live events you can compare your notes on merchants, networks, and offers with other affiliates. You may be surprised to discover that many affiliates, even the super affiliates, are happy to share the best ways they’ve found to get the job done faster and easier.
Also, having your fellow affiliates around in person creates an outstanding atmosphere for brainstorming and problem solving. In a live event setting you have the opportunity to discuss things such as search engine policies, paid advertising, SEO, and important current events in affiliate marketing such as the new tax on affiliate sales in New York. Live events are really one of the most valuable and effective ways to connect with others when it comes to problems in the industry.
Having the opportunity to create business partnerships, other joint venture relationships product ideas, and upsells in a live setting also adds to the appeal of getting up and out of the office. Trading information on who is who and what is what when it comes to the best (or worst) affiliate managers to work with is also valuable!
Even super affiliates like to attend live events because, as they put it, “If I come home with just ONE new technique that increases my ROI, it’s so worth it!”
So even if you’re one of those homebody affiliates who likes to keep a low profile, it’s worth considering attendance at a live affiliate marketing conference. It’s not just about making new friends. It’s about exposure to new business ideas, immersing yourself in the affiliate marketing mindset, and walking away with insider knowledge that can increase your profits for a long time to come.

Sarah – nice thoughts.
Live events are the great place to network with other fellow affiliates or marketers but it also motivates us that we are not alone. We can get lots of information there too like regarding merchant networks, we get to know the ideas and suggestions from there along with lots of other information. Networking is one of the key aspect of our success.
