Affiliate Marketers Can Compete With the Big Guys and WIN – Part 5

This is the fifth and last part of the “Affiliate Marketers Can Compete With the Big Guys and WIN” 5-part series. If you missed parts 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 you can read Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here and Part 4 here.

An affiliate marketer will “choose to lose” if he tries taking on the big guys in a broad frontal attack on a huge ecommerce company’s lofty position in the marketing world. As an affiliate marketer, you just can’t compete with the big guys in wide, all-inclusive, generic niches and win.

But you can compete against the big guys in a specialized niche market and win big if you focus your attention on only one tiny segment of the market.

Winning Strategy #5: Focus on a Niche within a Niche within a Niche

When an affiliate marketer tries to take on the big guys in a broad niche such as “dogs” the big guys have the advantage. The big guys have pockets that are deep enough to advertise products in that broad market to address the varying concerns and needs of many different potential customers.

The big guys can advertise:

• All types and brands of dog food
• All types and kinds of dog houses
• All types and kinds of dog toys
• All types and kinds of dog training products

The big guys advertise thousands of PRODUCTS rather than solutions for specific problems!

But when you take on the big guys in a tiny segment of a broad market, you, as an affiliate marketer, have an advantage. You can address the specific needs of your potential customers by advertising products that will solve their problems:

• A specific brand of dog food for dogs with allergies
• A dog house made especially for very cold climes
• Products to help housebreak a puppy…or stop a dog from incessant barking……

Affiliate marketers advertise SOLUTIONS FOR SPECIFIC PROBLEMS rather than thousands of products!

Conclusion:

This wraps up the five part “Affiliate Marketers Can Compete With the Big Guys and WIN” series. Put these five winning strategies into practice today:

Winning Strategy #1: Know Your Potential Customers
Winning Strategy #2: Maximize the O in SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Winning Strategy #3: Give Your Customers a Voice!
Winning Strategy #4: Concentrate Your Efforts on a Link Building Campaign
Winning Strategy #5: Focus on a Niche within a Niche within a Niche
