Learn several of the practices that empowered Lurn’s CEO and super affiliate Anik Singal to make over $350K with only 20 hours of work and one video on YouTube.
Anik presented his YouTube strategy in a webinar for Affiliate Classroom students last month. Though the step-by-step strategy that he taught is available only to our students, we were able to pluck out some of the great tips that he shared throughout the presentation and have broken them down for you here.
Use the following practices to produce videos that will grow your following and your sales:
1. Start today.
Video marketing will soon be an absolute necessity for Internet marketers. If you open an account with YouTube today and upload any video at all, you’ll be worlds ahead of most other affiliate marketers, and you’ll have everything in place to instantly submit videos for future offers you promote.2. Show your face.
A key sales benefit for video marketing is the trust it builds in your customers. Viewers recognize that you are standing by your offers — and are more trustworthy — when they see your face and real name. When you show your face, you have removed the veil of Internet anonymity many scam artists hide behind.3. Repurpose your articles.
Take the posts and pages you have on your site and make them into videos. We use Jing for doing screen and voice captures. It’s simple, it’s free, and it can shoot quality motion screenshots with voice narration.4. Produce dynamic videos.
Make motion screenshots or motion video rather than PowerPoint slideshows, which are just a sequence of images with background audio.5. Brand your videos.
Ensure that your video will always promote your links. Feature the link within the video itself, so if the video is embedded or copied to other sites, you retain the publicity. One way you can do this is a practice called “watermarking,” in which you place a logo or URL or anything in the same spot on the screen throughout the video, such as the MTV logo you see in the bottom right corner of your screen when you watch that channel.6. Cover all the angles.
Get the wave of traffic that you want by submitting your video to YouTube plus Yahoo!, Revver, and Daily Motion. Your video will not only show up in searches within those video directories, but it also will rank prominently in general search engine results and will often be grabbed and carried by less prominent video directories.
Time to get started! Now go make a video explaining topics you’ve covered on your site, create an account on YouTube, and post the video.
Come back to blog.affiliateclassroom.com next week for the next set of YouTube practices that will help you make money with YouTube!

Awesome tips. I will have to look through some blog posts and see how I can rework them into a video. Thanks for the advice.
Thanks for the useful tips, really must get up and running with my Youtube channel and start using video marketing to get and stay ahead.
Number 5 is a great point for retaining the benefits of your video if it is picked up more widely.
Thanks for the tips…
Question… Do you guys use or endorse Traffic Geyser or Tube Mogul for your video submissions?
thanks for the useful tips
To elaborate on number 5, I’ve used Viddler.com to place my website’s logo on the video. Pretty cool, actually. I use both YouTube and Viddler, but mostly Viddler for teaching, show-and-tell, and other non personal type videos.
Same question as Shawn really, do you recommend any particular software
or will this work using manual labour.

I’m a member of the Lurn editorial team.
Sean and Sandra, one of the tips next week was going to discuss using Traffic Geyser and TubeMogul, so yes, we think they are solid programs.
Would you guys mind describing how you turn articles into videos?
Like, do you just take the subheads and major points and put them into a powerpoint, or do you just put the article in front of you and basically read it into the camera?
Great tips though

Hi guys,
As usual top notch tips from the AC team.
If people have difficulty in producing their own videos, they can get free members
access to Easy Video Producer via http://www.easyvideoproducermlmcode.com
or a trial at the above link if they want the full membership.
Then, once they produce their own videos (often in a matter a minutes), they can copy
the code and paste it onto YouTube and other video sites, in addition to promoting their video to others inside the EVP members area.
I hope that your readers enjoy the tip.
All the best
Jack

Thank You sooo much for those tips. I made my first video today, and unfortunately, I mentioned that my followers could put their information in the box below, but there was no field set up to do so prior to me making the video, I guess that’s a Boo Boo. Will I be able to delete the actual video and re-do it?

Better get started soon.
Good tips.
I liked especially the third one. Never thought of that, although I have done the opposite already: getting a video and transforming it into an article. It was an easy task, thus I assume the other way around will be too!
So I’ll be trying # 3 pretty soon.
Thanks, and waiting for the next tips.

Yea video pod casts are becoming huge in the blogosphere and marketing arena in general. To get out ahead of the curve is definitely the wise thing to do. Great post.
Thanks for nice tip for video marketing & I look to create more videos.
I am confused, in the above advice you state to never do PowerPoint Slide Videos yet on tonight’s Webinar Mike Koeing said that it is the simplest & easiest method to use. Is there a proven better conversion rate with Live vs. Slides?

Thank you for the information.
Albert
i have many videos on youtube,it do help affiliate marketer ,but in this downturn time, conversion rate is nearly zero, the only good thing is youtube can bring you a good backlink.
You are, of course, right when you say that “Video marketing will soon be an absolute necessity for Internet marketers” but the written word is also important. Online marketers have to use all the available advertising media.
Hi,
Great tips and advice and it couldn’t have came at a better time for me. One of the things I wanted to accomplish by the end of the week was to start making and posting my own videos.
This post has only reinforced my need to get it done!
Thanks,
Karl
