5 Not-to-Dos for Affiliate Marketers, Part Five

This is the fifth and final installment of the five-part “5 Not-to-Dos for Affiliate Marketers” series. If you missed them, you can read part one here, part two here, part three here and part four here.

We’re all used to seeing signs that tell us what we should NOT do; keep off grass, do not enter, etc.

Unfortunately there are no Not-To-Do signs posted anywhere in the affiliate marketing universe.

You can go out there, and without any warning, make costly affiliate marketing errors.

The staff at Affiliate Classroom wants to help you stay safe and become prosperous. So the fifth thing on our affiliate marketers’ “not to do” list is …You must:

Never Fail to Stay Abreast of New Developments in Your Niche

Product improvements, new concerns for your audience, and niche news move at the speed of light. What was new yesterday is today’s Internet equivalent of the buggy whip.

“So,” you ask, “how do I stay abreast of developments in my niche?”

Here are our top three recommendations:

1. Join a community. Find the top forums, groups, and social media sites for your niche, and listen to what people are saying.

2. Subscribe to the top newsletters and ezines in your own niche market. Visit the websites of your largest competitors and sign up for the newsletters or ezines they offer.

3. Network! Build relationships with other marketers who work in your niche or in closely related niches by attending relevant seminars and workshops out in the brick and mortar world.

New developments within your niche will bring about change. Although many will tell you that they hate change, change is actually a very good thing in the world of Internet marketing. Change opens new doors.

Yes, change means that you are presented with new challenges. But change also presents you with new opportunity!

In the five-part “5 Not-to-Dos for Affiliate Marketers” you have learned that as an affiliate marketer you must NOT

Blow Off Customers
Use Black Hat Marketing Techniques
Make Promises You Can’t Keep
Stick to Only Old Hat Advertising Methods
Fail to Stay Abreast of New Developments in Your Niche

We sincerely hope that this affiliate marketers’ not-to-do list simplifies, streamlines, and makes your affiliate marketing business more profitable!
