Can QR Codes Help Your Business?

A Quick Response (QR) code is like a link for the off-line world. You can create it for free, post it anywhere, and connect it to anything. The code is an image that is scanned by a smartphone scanner – like the QuickMark and Optiscan for iPhone or Barcode Scanner for the Android –and automatically takes to the viewer/scanner to the coded data. It can be a URL, text, SMS or even a phone number.

Who knew spam mail could be worthwhile? Chipotle has a way to make the inbox-stuffing junk emails into support for our schools. They announced their email program “No Junk” this past Friday. All you have to do is forward your junk email to their designated address, nojunk@chipotle.com. For every 100,000 emails, the restaurant chain will donate $10,000 to nutrition non-profit The Lunch Box.
