YouTube Is Becoming a Fast-Growing Search Engine

I recently read an article that said YouTube is advancing as a search engine and has passed up Yahoo! in the past. I find that interesting. I never really considered YouTube to be a “search engine,” and now here they are at #2.

Actually though, since Google also ownes YouTube, Google could be considered in the number one and two spot. But what does that really mean for affiliate marketers?

The writer says, “With the different search engines available and the arrival of Microsoft’s new search engine Bing, a quick look at the SEO basics might not be a bad idea. Because each search engine judges your site with a different set of criteria, you should become familiar with what does and doesn’t make a difference.” Sounds like a good idea!


Increase Your Conversions by Complementing a Merchant’s Website

For those of you with a dropped jaw right now, don’t fret. I am not suggesting you copy or plagiarize anybody’s website. What I am referring to applies to those who promote a merchant’s product.

Think about it. If your website promotes a merchant’s product, it is a mouthpiece for that merchant. What you present, and how you display it, reflects not only on you, but also on the merchant whose products you are promoting.


Twitter Is Becoming an Essential Affiliate Marketing Tool

twitter_logo_smIf you’re like me, you may be ignoring Twitter. It’s not that I don’t like Twitter, it’s more that I’m kept busy with my Facebook friends, my Squidoo people, blog posts for a variety of blog topics, email, and other social networking activities. But it sounds like I won’t be able to ignore Twitter much longer because many affiliate marketers are forgoing blog posts in favor of making Twitter Tweets.

I think I’ll start slowly, and see what happens. But there are a few rules that I am aware of, which you’ll want to pay careful attention to.
