Google To Sell Performics

When I first read this, I got a bit sad - not exactly sure why, I guess it was nice having Google around or not - I honestly don’t know. However, if you read it closely, you’ll see that they are only going to sell the search marketing division (keeping the affiliate division). They specifically state that it is a conflict of interest considering Performics helps companies optimize for Google search.
The neat thing is they go out of their way to say the following thing:
Google will keep the affiliate marketing arm of Performics and integrate it into existing Google services.
They’re going to integrate into the Google services? Hmmm…this will be interesting indeed.
