With a Name like Squidoo, it HAS to be Good!

Squidoo is a social network - like many social networks but with a twist.
Most social networks frown upon blatant advertisements and even prohibit them entirely but not Squidoo. Squidoo welcomes affiliate marketers and their advertisements with open arms and even goes out of their way to provide tools to make marketing easier and more effective.
According to the Squidoo website:
“Squidoo is a free social network that lets you showcase your expertise in any area. As an affiliate marketer, you have unlimited opportunities to capture the attention of multiple niches.”
Squidoo rolls out the welcome mat for us affiliate marketers in many ways. They have provided a lot of tools to help us. Here are a few of my favorites:
Write Module: One tool that Squidoo provides is the ‘write module’. You can place direct links or hyperlinked texts anywhere by using the write module and HTML code. You can openly promote a product without having to disguise what you write as anything other than what it is…advertisement.
Poll Module: I really love the ‘poll module’ that Squidoo makes available for FREE. You and I both know that people LOVE polls. They’ll answer questions on a poll when they won’t do anything else. Add a poll with the right questions, and you have a very inexpensive way to do a survey; it can give you a lot of very valuable affiliate marketing information.
Money Module: The ‘money module’ is another very cool feature that Squidoo has come up with. There are modules for places like eBay and Wine.com where you can choose to share affiliate earnings with other marketers. It’s like a lot of little guys ganging up on the big guys. You don’t have to use the money module; you could use the write module instead and just put your affiliate ads in the code.
I don’t mean to sound like an advertisement for Squidoo here. I am just so impressed with the site. If you haven’t looked at it yet, you should. They really love affiliate marketers and it is nice to feel the love for a change.
Oh, and, if you’re a member of the Affiliate Classroom, you’ll find easy instructions on setting up your own Squidoo site in the Case Study titled “Squidoo, It’s Easy and Fun To Do!”
