This is definitely the “eye-catcher” of the day for me. As I was doing my “blog rounds” today, I landed on a very shocking post by Shoemoney where he talks about how the Rich Jerk is selling out to avoid bankruptcy!
Apparently the business was found for sale at this website…
There were actually a few things I was shocked to learn by reading this story.
1. The Rich Jerk had investors.
2. He “apparently” blew all the money on buying advertising that — I guess — didn’t work.
3. The rumor that he’s doing this to avoid bankruptcy!
I don’t know about you, but I was under the impression that the Rich Jerk was VERY successful and making MILLIONS! As I sit here and read this story there are a few things that come to mind.
First of all, this could all be a rumor or some “marketing ploy” – I mean it IS the Rich Jerk, who knows with him!
Secondly, I guess we should not believe all the hype we see! No doubt, there was some great marketing behind The Rich Jerk, but if the story is true, I can’t help but question whether all the marketing was TRUE?
Thirdly, we should all remain a bit humble in our life, don’t ya think?
Don’t get me wrong, I actually admired The Rich Jerk empire in many ways. It was some of the most clever marketing I’ve seen in years. I also never doubted that he knows his stuff, he seemed to understand PPC better than most affiliates/marketers that I personally know (certainly seemed to know it better than myself).
I also learned quite a bit from him. My marketing in many of my niche has changed to be more edgy – to be a bit more outrageous and “buzz worthy.” No doubt I’ll never go as far as The Rich Jerk went, but hey, it worked!
So my note to Rich Jerk - “Sorry you have to go through this bro…you sure did have an attitude, but just WATCHING you market, I learned more than I probably have learned from 10 marketing courses. I wish you the best of luck. I also hope that this truly is all a great big rumor!

Hey Anik:
I am confused by your entry.
Are you saying that the Rich Jerk is having financial problem or what?
Whatever it is, it may just be a marketing ploy.
As you already know, the secret of the Rich jerk’s success is that he is a good marketer and does what everybody’s don’t.
Ikey
You can make millions, and spend it just as fast, right? Doesn’t the rich jerk claim to have all sorts of fancy stuff? and besides, selling a a business does not necessarily mean your bankrupt. It can also mean you want to cash out, try something new, focus on other bigger and better things.
If this is not inappropriate, here is a
complete objective outline of The Rich Jerk:

Hi, I purchased the The Rich Jerk e-book on Ebay, a couple months ago. It stated it had resell rights, so i listed it. The next day it was pulled off my listings. Ebay sent this to me:
You can not submit your listing due to the following problems Attention Seller: In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts listing items that are reportedly favored by counterfeiters. At this time, you are limited in the number of items you can list (or revise) in any 7 day period. If you have any additional questions about this subject, email us at Customer Support.
We sincerely value you as a member of our trading community and look forward to a continued successful relationship. Click here for a window with eBay’s policy on replica or counterfeit items

selling activity
I’ve written the Trust and Safety numerous times, and I just get a generic letter back. I’ve written to the owner of the ebook and no reply. I paid something like 1.50 for the ebook, it stated it had resell rights, but obvisously it didn’t.. Should the person who sold it to me get punished? and not me? I had no Idea. I need help with this matter too, so if anyone out there can help me clear this matter, that would be great. Be careful about digital ebooks that say they have resell rights. I no longer sell any type of ebook now, but i am limeted now and how much i can sell, and ebay dosnt let me know much about this either. Do not buy his book and try to sell on ebay, you will be sorry you did!
Help!
Steve Me
I heard the rich jerk had to stop selling his ebook and even had to take down the video on youtube because the owner of craigslist threatened to sue him.
I mad a mistake I was talking about the Affiliate Jerk not the Rich Jerk. Sorry
