Local Search Ads Effective, comScore Confirms

The value of online local advertising got further confirmation recently from a comScore study showing its healthy ROI.
As blogged earlier, some businesses are inherently local. Automotive, Careers, Construction and Contractors, Hospitality, Real Estate, etc. Any one of these can make affiliate marketers considerable income. Many have.
Traditionally, (well, to the extent the Internet has a tradition) online sales have cannibalized those of retail establishments. But, as users turn increasingly to the Internet to research purchases, even bricks-and-mortar businesses will get higher sales from local search generated ads.
Affiliate marketers who re-visit their site designs to add dynamic features that attract the local visitor, can participate in those sales and garner a share.
