Do You Accept Advertising?

…maybe you should start if you are not already!
A study done by The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers revealed that online advertising revenues are up 26% this year’s 2nd quarter compared to last year, nearing $2.9 billion! The total for the first half of 2005 was already $5.8 billion.
It seems that companies are starting to drastically shift their marketing budgets to the internet, seeing a better ROI and more “bang for their buck.”
I would say that about 90% of the affiliate websites I review have “dead real estate” that they could easily be making money on by selling ad space. Links, banners, buttons, etc… that could be worth tens, hundreds and even thousands of dollars (given your traffic).
What kind of ads? Well if you don’t feel like going through the hassle of selling ads, then about just Google Adsense! Although let me say from personal experience that I have just recently experimented with selling ad space and have found that “niche” incredibly rewarding!
If you havn’t yet ever thought about selling ad space, it looks like the best time to start thinking about it.
